Hi, I'm Jenny Stockton. I believe the best things in life are good food, good books, good music, and good people. One of my favorite things to do is sit down at a big table with other people to share a meal and a good, long sobremesa. I love reading and libraries and bookstores and will probably never own an e-reader. I am wholeheartedly committed to never taking myself too seriously, and also to confronting injustice and fighting oppression. I live in Denver with my husband and two kids.
I am a firm believer in the power of literacy to change lives, and spent nearly a decade teaching middle school kids the merits of reading and writing. Some of the best things I’ve ever read were written by 12-year-olds, and I’ve had the high honor of watching as a 7th grader finished reading a book entirely on his own for the first time in his life. These days, I’m creating instructional materials for my Teachers Pay Teachers store, serving on the board of a local book nonprofit, and working part-time as a high school English teacher.
